Fetterman & Associates Scholarship Project
Fetterman & Associates is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Fetterman & Associates Scholarship Project. Each year, area high school seniors are invited to enter by submitting an original essay entitled “My Most Influential Teacher”. Five chosen winners will each receive a ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR scholarship. Their Most Influential Teacher will be honored at the award ceremony with a special gift as well.
“We have met some extraordinary young men and women, and we are gratified to learn of their continuing success as they pursue their college careers.” stated Evan Fetterman.
Lauren Maunus was one of our 2015 winners. She wrote a moving essay about her AP Human Geography teacher Mrs. Stella Boland, who inspired her to engage in Governmental service, and she engaged in the Treasure Coast Youth in Government Program. Sadly, Mrs. Boland lost her bout with cancer, but her inspiration lives on in students like Lauren. Lauren attends Brown University and is passionate about environmental change, and making the world a better place. As a freshman, she represented her university at the Thought For Food Global Summit in Zurich, Switzerland. Student entrepreneurs, mentors, and experts from across the world came together to discuss innovative solutions to the challenges of feeding 9 billion people by 2050. Lauren is now a sophomore and has recently contacted us to let us know how she is doing. “I wanted to extend my appreciation for your financial support for my education. Thank you again for all of your support,” stated Lauren.
