Have You Ever Visited a Virtual Member’s Showcase?

Member’s Showcase? Martin County
Date: Friday July 3, 2020 through Friday July 31, 2020.
Time: All Day Event
Location: Virtual
Category: Cultural
We all know how much the arts have helped us cope with the isolation and upheaval of the pandemic.

Now, The Arts Council of Martin County is offering you an opportunity to enjoy the work of some its most prominent members without leaving the safety and comfort of your own home.

Through July 31, they will be hosting its visual arts members in a first-ever Member’s Showcase virtual art gallery.

This initiative will also provide artists the chance to channel their creative energy into an outlet than can be enjoyed by the community.

"By thinking differently, we are able to provide different, and unique opportunities and ones that provide much greater access to the art than the physical gallery space at the Court House Cultural Center," stated Nancy Turrell, executive director.

The work of over 50 artists will be featured. With each piece of art displayed, you’ll find information about the artist, as well as a link to his or website.

As of today, two of the exhibited works are under contract to be purchased. The gallery may be virtual, but visitors are finding it exciting and stimulating.

The artist members of the Arts Council form an important partnership with the non-profit. Along with them and the representatives from the performing and literary fields, Martin County is fortunate to have a creative sector that adds to the overall vibrance of the community.

______________________________________________
This week's dharma talk is: SPACIOUSNESS: THE GRANDNESS THAT IS EVERYWHERE

"There is a presence, a silence, a stillness. It is simply here in you, with you. It is the fragrance of your own self. There is nothing to do about this, it is naturally present. This fragrance of peace, this spaciousness, it is the fragrance of your own being." --- Mooji

Lets explore the wonder and simplicity of nothingness; connect with the nothingness of everything. Together we will attempt to understand this concept of empty spaciousness in a real way so we can relax into it and just be.
