This permanent exhibit will explore the life and times of John Ashley and his family. Born in the 1880's and raised in the wild west atmosphere that pervailed over Florida's East Coast and the Everglades. Joh Ashley turned to a life of crime after being accused and he was tried numerous times for the murder of Seminole Indian De Sotto Tiger in 1911. Learn more by seeing the exhibit for yourself at the Elliott Museum.

The New Horizons 6th Annual Breakfast with Santa will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to noon at St. Lucie Mets Clover Park, 31 Piazza Drive in Port St. Lucie. Area children up to age 17 will receive a complimentary, all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast with all the fixings, as well as an opportunity for photos with Santa Claus at this family-friendly, event. Adult admission is $5, or bring an unwrapped toy or gift card.
Breakfast with Santa offers yummy food, keepsake photos with Jolly Ol St. Nick, cookie decorating, Christmas crafts, face painting, and dance party contests with prizes.

If your organization, club or church would like to host a toy drive or adopt a family for the 2023 holiday season, there are several options available. Additional funds raised at Breakfast with Santa help purchase supplies and provide facility beautification that improve engagement and enhance the therapeutic experience.

As predicted, the ramifications of a global pandemic have been huge for mental health. Since the onset of covid, almost 70% of New Horizons clients have no source of income or any insurance, yet no one is turned away due to lack of financial resources.
Established in 1958, New Horizons has nine outpatient offices conveniently located across the region, as well as inpatient programs at the main campus on Midway Road in Fort Pierce. The agency also has a 24-hour helpline and mobile response team that delivers mental health care directly to an individual in need, day or night at no cost.

Festivities kick off on Thanksgiving weekend, November 25th and 26th, and runs Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., through the end of December. FAU Harbor Branch welcomes you to go behind the scenes with one of our outreach scientists to learn more about the research being conducted by the Institute. During this 1.5-hour golf-cart tour, participants will explore our 144-acre waterfront campus, learn about our history, hear highlights of the cutting-edge research being conducted by our marine scientists and engineers, and discover the impact that our work has on their everyday lives. Treasure Coast Hospice will hold its annual Tree of Life remembrance celebration in Downtown Stuart. The event gives the community an opportunity to come together to honor loved ones during the holiday season.

Inspirational words and messages of hope and live holiday music.

Guests at the Tree of Life will be able to acknowledge their loss by writing the names of their loved ones on special memory tags that are placed on the decorated tree.
