ST. LUCIE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR RAISES OVER $13,000 FOR DONATE LIFE FLORIDA

ST. LUCIE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR RAISES OVER $13,000 FOR DONATE LIFE FLORIDA

The St. Lucie County Tax Collector's Office raised over $13,000 in just four weeks for Donate Life Florida, a nonprofit organization dedicated to motivating Floridians to register as organ, tissue and eye donors so lives can be saved through donation and transplantation. The organization designates April as Donate Life Month.

St. Lucie County Tax Collector Chris Craft and his team hosted fundraising events, including the second annual Local Celebrity Lunch, in support of the nonprofit. The sold-out lunch, along with with donation baskets, contests, a meatball sub sale, breakfast events and other various fundraisers raised $13,202.33 for organ donor education.

Event sponsors included PNC Bank, The Porch Factory, Aztec Graphix, A&G Pools, Edlund Dritenbas Binkley Architects and Associates, P.A., FPL, Matula Electric, CenterState Bank, Grant Street Group, Sunrise Ford and Florida Atlantic University Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution. Chuck's Seafood Restaurant Owner Peter Angelos graciously donated all of the food, and Sara Blackwell Craft with Sara Blackwell Photography was the event photographer.

"I am incredibly proud of my team for their tireless fundraising efforts in support of Donate Life Florida," Craft said.
