Mustard Seed Celebrates Grand Reopening
Last year’s storm season proved to be very challenging for the Fort Pierce building that houses Mustard Seed’s largest thrift shop and its administrative offices. Over the summer, the offices had to be temporarily relocated and the store closed for a few weeks while extensive repairs were being made. Now that all the work is done and renovations and repairs have been made, Mustard Seed’s staff and management would like to invite you to share in the celebration of its grand reopening on Friday, November 22nd, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Fort Pierce location at 3130 South US1 in Fort Pierce, just south of Edwards road and right next door to Sonny’s Barbecue.
Not only will you have an opportunity to check out the newly repaired and renovated facilities and offices, you’ll also have a chance to pop one of our celebratory balloons to see if you can score one of the awesome grand reopening discounts being offered. All you have to do is stop by, enjoy looking around at the new digs, and pop a balloon to get up to a 75 percent discount. There will be a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at 12:30, featuring volunteers and local dignitaries, and the celebration and discounts will continue through 3 p.m.
For more than 30 years, Mustard Seed’s mission has been to work cooperatively with other organizations, donors, and the community to provide assistance for families and individuals struggling to make ends meet. Started as a partnership with four local churches, Mustard Seed has grown exponentially and now provides seventeen programs and services ranging from assistance with rent and utilities to emergency food, diaper, medicine and much more. If you’d like a chance to learn more about Mustard Seed or volunteer opportunities, please feel free to contact Mustard Seed’s main office at (772) 465-6021.
