City of Port St. Lucie named a “safest city” in multiple national lists

While Florida law enforcement data has shown Port St. Lucie to be the safest large City in the state for the past eight years in a row, several other groups from across the nation have recently taken notice.
During the past two months, Port St. Lucie’s safety has been positively recognized on four separate ranking lists. Two of those lists rank Port St. Lucie as one of the safest cities in the United States, while two others rank PSL among the safest in Florida.
According to these 2019 lists, Port St. Lucie is:
- The fourth safest city in the United States with a population of more than 100,000, according to Homesnacks.net. This group analyzed FBI data for 283 cities in America with more than 100,000 residents to create its list, which can be found at:https://www.homesnacks.net/safest/.
- The fourteenth safest city in the United States, according to Reviews.com. This group also analyzed FBI data for 454 cities across the county to form its list, which can be found at: https://www.reviews.com/safest-cities/.
- Ninth safest city in Florida, according to Safewise.com. Safewise used FBI and population data to rank the top 50 safest cities in the state, and its list can be found at https://www.safewise.com/blog/safest-cities-florida/.
