The transformation of the Club House at Veranda Gardens in Port St. Lucie brought the outside in with stunning pastel floral arrangements and refined décor, creating an enchanting tropical oasis for friends, both old and new, of CareBag.

CareBag’s recent Inaugural High Tea at the Gardens Friend Raiser allowed guests to learn about the organization, mix and mingle while sipping tea and enjoying lunch, and be entertained as local children strolled the room donning the latest fashions.

Founded in 2017, CareBag continues to expand its reach. Donating nearly 100,000 personal items and clothing and 67,000 bags of food in that first year to providing over 8,600 showers with its mobile shower unit in 2022, CareBag continues to make a difference in communities from Boca Raton, the Palm Beaches, Gifford, St. Lucie and more.

During the afternoon, Executive Director Roxy Brown conducted a call to serve. Attendees were invited to join the organization by becoming members of the newly established Founders Circle to help the nonprofit grow. Members will also facilitate those in need with essential hygiene products and other conditions when called upon.

Thanks to a strong belief in the mission, nearly everyone in attendance answered the appeal.

“This was beautiful to witness,” said Brown. “We are very grateful!”

A special thank you to Heather Guzman and all the volunteers. Sponsors include the Association of Christian Business Women, Bella Roma, Design & Sign, Heartz Unfold Events, K Soap Shop, Mission Barbeque, Photo Booth Treasure Coast, Treasure Coast Lexus, Zaxby’s, and more.
