About Summer Crush Vineyard & Winery
Located in Fort Pierce, Summer Crush Vineyard & Winery is the Treasure Coast’s first and only winery on Florida’s Central East and Southeast coasts. Conveniently located just two miles off I-95, and only 7 miles from Florida’s Turnpike, they are only minutes between Vero Beach and Fort Pierce. Gary Roberts and his wife Susan are the owners of the 10-acre vineyard. Their passion is spun from Gary’s love of surfing, history, the native muscadine and fruit wines. In the tasting room and pavilion, you will see vintage surf boards and related memorabilia from Gary’s notable collection, including the world's oldest known belly (boogie) board built in 1910, as well as the uniquely stocked gift shop.
The vision of Roberts was to create an exciting winery experience like no other, and that’s just what he has done. With decades of growing experience and years of vineyard and winery planning and development, the winery captures the essence of the Florida sun, fun, and all things tropical.
Sweet by nature, Robert’s wines are made from muscadines. Not found anywhere else in the world, Muscadine is one of North Amreica's true native wine grapes. There are several characteristics of the Muscadine grape that make it unique, and its superfruit properties are certainly one of its best qualities. With super high levels of antioxidants and ellagic acid, studies of Muscadine have shown that it can be effective at targeting illnesses, particularly those related to obesity such as fatty liver. Ellagic acid is not found in any other wine grape, making this variety particularly sought after for its health benefits.
If you prefer drier wines, Summer Crush has a variety for you.You will also find over 30 domestic, select and area micro brew beers, along with ciders, available for purchase. Only Summer Crush’s muscadine and fruit wines, that are made at the winery, are available for the wine tasting experience. Be sure not to miss trying their ice cold wine slushys, or wine based Sangrias and Mocktails
Tastings and tours of up to 200 can be accommodated by calling the tasting room.
