Who We Are

St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity partners with people in our community, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families. Through our 2021 Strategic Plan, St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity will serve more people needing decent and affordable housing.

Our History

St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization was formed in 1996 to fulfill the need of eliminating poverty housing in St. Lucie County and empower struggling working families to achieve homeownership. Habitat homebuyers help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering, or advocating for affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.
