Hop Life Owners - Heroes and Brewmasters

Started by a team of firefighters, Hop Life Brewing Company Owners Jim Kelly and Rob Tearle met as local firefighters. Jeff Blitman, Rob's cousin, also joined the duo as "the businessman" of the team. Jim is a retired firefighter and EMT, rising up through the ranks as battalion chief. Rob Tearle is currently a St. Lucie County Firefighter.

Their Hop Life story began when Jim Kelly brewed his first craft beer. After praises from others, Jim continued to brew and invited Rob Tearle to partake. Rob enjoyed it so much, he started brewing shortly after, as well. Jeff Blitman said, "Count me in," when asked by his cousin. In 2011, they started selling their apparel and used the proceeds to establish the foundation of the brewery. They plan to create, manufacture and distribute some of the finest craft beer produced in the State of Florida.
