Youth Leadership St. Lucie
Youth Leadership St. Lucie, an initiative of the Roundtable of St. Lucie County, is comprised of high school students (9th-12th grade) from various high schools in the county who are interested in expanding upon their leadership skills and getting involved in making a difference in their community.
Each year, the group selects a topic of interest and develops a community project which addresses the topic, commonly an “issue”, they perceive through their lens as a teen. This year, Youth Leadership has chosen to host a free seminar entitled “A.N.D.?”, which stands for Acceptance Not Discrimination.
The event is co-hosted by the City of Port St. Lucie’s Forum on Race Relations and Inclusion (FRRI), and will be held at the Port St. Civic Center on June 15th, from 10am-2pm. A.N.D.? is designed “by teens for teens”, yet adults are also welcome to attend. Registration and more information can be found at www.a-n-d.eventbrite.com .
