St. Lucie County Recognized for Communications Efforts
St. Lucie County’s Communications Division recently received four awards from two independent organizations for its communications efforts.
The Treasure Coast Chapter of the American Adverting Federation (AAF) presented St. Lucie County with three Gold “Addy” Awards in the following categories:
- Out-of-Home & Ambient Media: Poster category - Skeeter Skoot 50K Run
- Sales & Marketing Collateral Materials category – The Treasure Coast Wine & Ale Trail Festival
- Political/Educational Campaign category - Amendment 14 (half-cent sales tax). This was a joint award presented to St. Lucie County, Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce.
Additionally, the Palm Beach Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) presented the communications staff of St. Lucie County, City of Port St. Lucie and City of Fort Pierce with a 2019 Palm Award (first place) in the Public Affairs/Government Relations category for the educational campaign efforts for Amendment 14 (half-cent sales tax).
Since 2005, St. Lucie County’s Communications Division has won more than 80 awards from regional, state and national organizations such as the Florida Public Relations Association, the National Association of Government Communicators and the National Association of County Information Officers.
