The future of St. Lucie County has never looked brighter.

At the St. Lucie Chamber’s State of the County Luncheon, County Administrator Howard Tipton updated the over 100 people in attendance on the past, present and future of St. Lucie County. As of July 14, the day of the luncheon, St. Lucie County is preparing for a future with more residents then ever before.

When attendees entered the Boys and Girls Club campus at Westside Church, they were greeted by the kids that make up the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County. Along with greeting guests, the kids served the entire luncheon. While walking through the venue to serve drinks, the kids were able to speak with leaders in the community. This experience is part of the mentoring and career readiness that is offered by the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County.

Vice President of Philanthropy for BGCSL, Tommy John, and CEO of the St. Lucie Economic Development Council, Pete Tesch, welcomed the crowd to the Westside Campus and introduced County Administrator Howard Tipton.

Administrator Tipton explained the past, present and future of St. Lucie County. He also highlighted the accomplishments and accolades that St. Lucie County had received in the past year. Administrator Tipton wowed the crowd with statistics about the growth of St. Lucie County, including the projected number of citizens within the next ten years.

“We are not planning for today, we are planning for the future,” Administrator Tipton said.

The State of the County Luncheon is followed by the Legislative Update Luncheon, where members of the St. Lucie County delegation will speak on all the things happening at the State level.
