Resolve to Develop Your Family Tree with Genealogy Workshops
The Susan Broom Kilmer Branch Library will help you discover your roots with free genealogy workshops, thanks to volunteers with the Treasure Coast Genealogical Society (TCGS).
- Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 1:30 p.m.: “Show and Tell” - Bring your family heirlooms and you can tell the family story surrounding this heirloom. If you would like to participate contact Tammy Ware or Peggy Silletto at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 1:30 p.m.: Records of the War of 1812 - Presented by former Indian River County Librarian Pamela J. Cooper.
If you can’t get to these free lectures, members of the Treasure Coast Genealogical Society offer individual help three days a week: Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Genealogy Section on the second floor from 9 a.m. - noon. Learn to use Ancestry.com, Heritage Quest and more. More information is available at www.treasurecoastgenealogicalsociety.org.
These programs are free and open to the public. TCGS membership is not required.
