Morningside Library Announces 2018 Book Selections for Tuesday Afternoon Group

The Tuesday Afternoon Book Discussion Group at the Morningside Branch Library has released its novels for 2018. Meetings are scheduled for the first Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. and are open to everyone.

 

 

 

Selections for 2018 include:

  • Jan. 9  – “The Leavers” by Lisa Ko
  • Feb. 13 – “Being There” by Jerzy Kosinski
  • March 13 – “Lovers at the Chameleon Club” by Francine Prose
  • April 10 – “German Girl” by Armando Lucas Correa
  • May 8 – “Turner House” by Angela Flournoy
  • June 12 – “Charming Billy” by Alice McDermott
  • July 10 – “Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane” by Lisa See
  • Aug. 14 – “We Were the Lucky Ones” by Georgia Hunter
  • Sept. 11 – “Don’t Stop the Carnival” by Herman Wouk
  • Oct. 9 – “Hillbilly Elegy” by J.D. Vance
  • Nov. 13 – “Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood
  • Dec. 11 – “Moonglow” by Michael Chabon

A limited number of library copies of each selection are available for checkout on a first-come, first-served basis. All selections are in print and most are available in paperback. Many are also available as e-book purchases.
