Jose Ubilla Day!

Jose Ubilla Day!

Former Port St. Lucie Mayor Robert E. Minsky declared June 14 as Jose Ubilla Day in recognition of his ‘patriotism to our Nation and his responsibilities to our Veterans.’  Since the proclamation occurred in 2005, Ubilla has continued his work on behalf of the Veterans and has completed numerous monuments to memorialize the sacrifices they made.

In 2016, Ubilla and his team at Real Stone & Granite completed the Gold Star Memorial Monument that now sits at Veterans’ Memorial Park in Port St. Lucie.  He is currently working on another one that will be dedicated this September in West Palm Beach.  Prior to Memorial Day, his craftsmen added the names of three fallen heroes onto the Wall at the Navy Seal Museum.

The proclamation stated that Mr. Ubilla devoted untold hours and expenses to the Florida Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Wall project, including the etching of 1,952 names and the installation of the five bollards bearing the insignia of each military service.   One visit to Veterans’ Memorial Park and you’ll see the dedication Ubilla has for our Veterans.  All of the monuments at VMP were created by Ubilla and his team of skilled craftsmen.

“Our Veterans have made incredible sacrifices to keep us safe and protect democracy,” stated Ubilla.  “It is truly an honor to help memorialize their sacrifices with these monuments.”

Jose Ubilla is the owner of Real Stone & Granite, one of the area’s top custom fabricators of granite and marble.  Since 1993 the company has been providing products and services throughout the state of Florida.  Visit online at
