Stuart Air Show once again soars to top 20 status
The Southeast Tourism Society (STS) has once again named the annual Stuart Air Show as one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast for 2018. The best events across the southeastern United States compete to receive a Top 20 designation. The Martin County Office of Tourism and Marketing and the Stuart Air Show board collaborated on the application for this prestigious title.
The variety of acts and experiences offered make the Stuart Air Show one of the most popular air shows in South Florida! In its 29th year, this event brings together antique, vintage and modern aircraft and makes them accessible to the public. All weekend long, attendees can tour a diverse collection of aircraft, take a helicopter ride and, of course, watch some truly exciting aerial performances.
"We are honored to be named the recipient of the Southeast Tourism Society award for a third consecutive year," stated Amy Bottegal, President of the Stuart Air Show Board of Directors. "Each year, the Stuart Air Show continues to grow and thrill audiences near and far. We are so grateful to be given this notable distinction and look forward to continuing our legacy of bringing an exciting, high-quality family adventure to the Treasure Coast."
The three-day event always features thrilling performances by nationally known performers. Additionally, true to its mission of honoring the past and inspiring the future, the Stuart Air Show provides financial support to numerous non-profit organizations.
"The best events across the Southeast compete to receive a Top 20 designation. The STS Top 20 Events program has highlighted events and festivals around the southeast since 1985. Ongoing recognition programs such as this allows us to better promote the wonderful events that take place throughout our area," said Nerissa Okiye, Tourism and Marketing Manager for Martin County.
