On March 19, 2022, The Humane Society of St Lucie County and our premier sponsor A&G Concrete Pools hosted its inaugural signature fundraiser, the Blue Jean Ball. This event brought people together who are passionate about supporting homeless animals in our community. The event was held at the Pelican Yacht Club in Fort Pierce and included live & silent auctions, music & dancing, food & appetizers, and a cat-sino w/ Vegas style gaming including roulette, blackjack, and slots. Thanks to all our amazing villagers and Blue Jean Ball sponsors, our Blue Jean Ball event was sold out! A&G Concrete Pools generously issued a 'MATCH" challenge matching every donation dollar for dollar up to $10,000. All the donations received help support the thousands of dogs and cats that come through our shelter every year.

“There are many unsung heroes that put their heart and soul back into their community. This year's Blue Jean Ball volunteers and coordinator Sandee Alleen have done just that. Delayed twice due to Covid restrictions, 2022's Blue Jean Ball went off to a resounding success. The community came out to support the Humane Society of St Lucie County and enjoyed cocktails, dinner with a live auction and Casino night with some fantastic, donated raffle items. We raised over $55,000 that night to support the fabulous residents who are looking for fur-ever homes. The Humane Society of St Lucie County would like to thank this year's attendees, volunteers, Board of Directors and fearless leader for this incredible event, Sandee Allen. We hope to see you next year and please stop by the shelter if you are looking to add to your family.” – Glenn Camelio, Executive Director.
