Boys & Girls Clubs invite you to the 11th Annual Steak & Stake Dinner

Boys & Girls Clubs

“Among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars,” we will celebrate “The Great Gatsby” themed 11th Annual Steak & Stake Dinner and Auction to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County. This popular event will be held Friday, October 19 at 6 p.m. at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center, 9221 S.E. Civic Center Place at the corner of U.S. Highway 1 and Walton Road.

The Steak & Stake Dinner and Auction has become the single largest annual fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Clubs. Over the past decade, our generous community has come together to support this event and the thousands of local Club members it benefits.

John Jacobs, owner of John Jacobs Construction in Fort Pierce, is this year’s Presenting Sponsor. “I was a Club member when I was a kid in Indianapolis, Indiana,” said Jacobs. “It was a great experience that taught me so much. Now I want to pay it forward and give every kid the same opportunity I had.”

This memorable evening includes an exciting live auction, as well as a silent auction, both with an incredible variety of items. Participants will be able to bid in the silent auction right from their mobile devices, making it easy to snag those items.

Guests will enjoy a mouth-watering steak dinner provided by the legendary Okeechobee Steakhouse, plus a live performance by a group of Boys & Girls Clubs members. Club members are the special guests of the evening and will be seated at each table. They will share their experiences as Club members (some may need help cutting their steaks!).

Professional dancers will also be mingling to make it feel like you are stepping into one of Gatsby’s famous parties. We encourage you to dress in your best styles from the 20s as well!

The following sponsors have made this wonderful event possible: John Jacobs Construction, Inc. (Title Sponsor); Keiser University (Auction Sponsor); Treasure Coast Lexus (Diamond Valet Sponsor); GL Homes (Cocktail Sponsor); A&G Concrete Pools; Casino Miami Jai Alai; The CORE Program; International Diamond Center; Center State Bank; Coca-Cola; Fort Pierce Police Department; Fort Pierce Utilities Authority; Natures Grounds Landscaping; Nelson Family Farms; Okeechobee Steakhouse; Port St. Lucie Police Department; Publix Supermarkets; St. Lucie County Fire District; St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office; Southern Eagle Distributing; St. Lucie Battery & Tire; St. Lucie Draft House; St. Lucie Mets; Traxx Entertainment; Waste Pro.
