211 HELPLINE IS NAMED ‘NONPROFIT OF THE YEAR!’
211 HelpLine was named “Nonprofit of the Year” in the large category (budget of $2.5 million+) at Nonprofit’s First’s Hats Off Nonprofit Awards event on October 2nd at the Harriet Himmel Theater in West Palm Beach.
Over 300 guests attended the event in honor of all the nominees. 211 HelpLine was nominated alongside 11 other outstanding organizations that do great work in the community. “I couldn’t be more proud to lead a team of such passionate, dedicated individuals who play a key role in all of our success,” said Sharon L’Herrou, President & CEO of 211. “So many amazing organizations were nominated and I am just so proud of this recognition!”
211 HelpLine serves residents of Palm Beach County, as well as Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties and provides suicide prevention, crisis de-escalation, information and referral services to individuals in need. 211 staff are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can be accessed by dialing 2-1-1, texting 898-211, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or chatting online on our website www.211palmbeach.org or www.211treasurecoast.org.
With a database of over 1,600 agencies providing nearly 7,000 programs and services, 211 staff are able to assess a person’s needs, de-escalate any crisis they are experiencing, and guide them to appropriate resources that can assist them.
