18 Holes for Heroes

18 Holes for Heroes

On Saturday, October 26th, you can lace up your golf shoes, don your most patriotic golf outfit, and tee off to benefit Southeast Florida Honor Flight. Indian Hills Golf Club will be hosting the second annual Honor Flight Golf Tournament to benefit Southeast Florida Honor Flight, and proceeds from the event will help fly WWII, Korean, and Vietnam War veterans on a one-day mission to see the memorials built to honor their service and sacrifices.

You can register as an individual player, or grab some friends and come as a team for a round of golf that will help honor service men and women who signed a blank check and were willing to sacrifice their lives to ensure the freedom of the country we all hold so dear. Sponsorships for the event are still available, and signups for the 8:30 shotgun start tournament are going fast, so call today to reserve your space to play 18 holes for heroes.

Created in 2008, the all-volunteer Southeast Florida Honor Flight has provided the opportunity for thousands of WWII and now Korean War veterans to make the journey to Washington, D.C. at absolutely no charge to the veteran.

If you’d like to learn more about the Honor Flight program, volunteer as a guardian, or if you know a WWII veteran living in the area, please visit www.honorflightsefl.org or call toll-free at 1-855-FLYAVET (359-2838) for additional information and an application.
