More than 2,500 people attended the 2016 Tykes & Teens Festival of Trees and Lights in downtown Stuart, and attendance is expected to increase significantly for this year's event, which will celebrate a decade of this heart warming and festive holiday tradition.
This year's Festival will take place November 26-December 2, 2017 at Flagler Place in downtown Stuart. The week- long fundraiser will feature beautifully decorated and themed holiday trees, wreaths, and centerpieces, as well as special events for all ages including Joy to the Girls! Ladies Night, Family Day, a Champagne Tea, a VIP Cocktail Party, Breakfast and Photos with Santa and more!
The event is the only fundraiser for the award-winning non-profit that provides high quality mental health services to children in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties, regardless of financial status. Tykes & Teens is celebrating its 21st year in business and has served more than 25,000 local youth. In addition to general mental health counseling, the agency provides specialized programming to treat children and teens facing addiction, eating disorders, sexual abuse, domestic violence, grief and more. Additionally, the Prevention Services Department provides hundreds of free community events for parents and children designed to prevent suicide, dating violence, drug and alcohol use, and more. Tykes & Teens also is committed to advocating for mental health awareness by working to remove the stigma associated with seeking help.
