Set Sail for fun at EFMC’s Evening of Excellence Bids for Kids 2023
On April 1, get ready to go “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” at An Evening of Excellence | Bids for Kids to benefit the Education Foundation of Martin County (EFMC).
Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club will be turned into a nautical wonderland as guests dive deep in support of the nonprofit that’s always there for Martin County’s teachers and students, raising funds to assist the Foundation with enriching and enhancing the quality of education in Martin County's public schools.
This year’s event is presented by Morganti, which has been an EFMC partner for decades. Stephen Sines, Vice President of Operations for Morganti, shares “Morganti is proud to be a longtime partner in support of the Education Foundation and our community’s students and teachers.”
This year’s event will feature a “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” theme selected by Rob Gluckman of sponsor, Treasure Coast Urgent Care (TCUC). "I was seeking a novel way to depict the value of knowledge and illustrate opportunities made possible by scientific discovery and innovation. This theme celebrates my love of the water and TCUC’s ‘deep’ desire to invest in a world-class education for our community’s children,” explains Gluckman.
An underwater-themed carpet will welcome those arriving at the gala, leading them through giant tentacles on the way to an ice luge that features the evening’s signature cocktail. Hors d’oeuvres and traditional cocktails will also be offered.
Enjoy the silent portion of the Bids for Kids auction, consisting of hundreds of must-have items including fishing charters, gift baskets, vacation getaways, spa treatments, golf packages, jewelry, and artwork during the cocktail reception.
The live component of Bids for Kids takes place during dinner, with local auctioneer KC Daniel leading the spirited bidding.
Dancing to the sweet sounds to DJ Jammin’ Jim rounds out the festivities.
Other top sponsors include Treasure Coast Urgent Care, Hedrick Brothers Construction, Gehring Group, Jeanine Webster, CFP & Mel Nobel – The Travel Guy, and UDT.
Proceeds from the event will support the numerous educational enrichment programs provided by the EFMC. A detailed and informative description of them is available at www.EducationFoundationMC.org.
