Volunteers Needed To Serve On Police Advisory Committee
The Fort Pierce City Commission is seeking individuals to serve on the newly formed Police Community Advisory Committee. The mission of the Police Community Advisory Committee is to reduce crime and enrich the quality of life for the citizens of the City of Fort Pierce through a collaborative partnership. Its main purpose is to facilitate interaction, build trust and mutual respect and improve understanding between Citizens and their Police Department. Eligible individuals will be residents of the City of Fort Pierce and have experience in one of the following areas: faith-based community, mental health resources, education, small business or business organization, social service resource, juvenile justice or youth centered resources or residential community neighborhood. The Mayor and each Commissioner will appoint one eligible applicant that resides within their district.
