It was a beautiful, moonlit evening that saw “detectives” gathering clues throughout downtown Fort Pierce to solve The Case of the Waterlogged Ghost on Friday, October 11th. St. Andrew’s Episcopal Academy’s 3rd annual murder mystery fundraiser was a sold-out success, raising over $10,000.00.
Guests began the evening at 2nd Street Bistro’s Hideaway Room for cocktails, food and music before diving into the mystery. The array of creative silent auction and raffle items throughout the venue were put together by classroom families, with most being valued at over $350.00. Once the game began, attendees started gathering clues from characters in the story that were stationed at designated clue stops, then returning to 2nd Street Bistro for the final clues. Once the “detectives” accused a suspect, two winners were drawn from correct answers. The grand prizes of a 50” 4k television and an HP Laptop were generously donated by Walmart Distribution Center.
“Our annual murder mystery is unique, interactive and a love letter to downtown Fort Pierce, the academy’s home for nearly 50 years.” said Rhonda Blakey, Director of Development and Public Relations.
Sponsors included Reef to Ranch Real Estate, Valerie Davis-Bailey and Treasure Coast Lexus, along with the Clue Stop Sponsors of Freedom Boat Club, Varsity Sports Shop, The Galleria of Pierce Harbor, Initially Yours, Uncle Carlo’s Gelato, Treasure Coast Provisions, Mark Walter’s & Co. and Media Sponsor, All Things Treasure Coast.
