Press Release – Care Net Gala 2022

“A Patient is a Person No Matter How Small” is the mantra of Dr. William Lile, OB/GYN of Pensacola, FL, also known as “The Prolife Doc.” Dr. Lile was the keynote speaker for the “Raised to New Life” 2022 Spring Banquet—a two-night fundraiser held on March 10 and 11 at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center in Port St Lucie. The event raised $270,323 in much-needed operating funds for Care Net Pregnancy Services of the Treasure Coast, a non-profit, faith-based pregnancy resource center providing FREE services in our community from three locations in Martin and St Lucie Counties to those facing difficult pregnancy decisions or needing pregnancy support.

A total of 631 attended. Guests included local dignitaries Natalie Fisher, Regional Field Director of SE Florida for the office of Governor Ron DeSantis, City of Port St Lucie Councilmen Anthony Bonna and David Pickett, St Lucie County Commissioner, Cathy Townsend, St Lucie County Clerk of Court, Michelle Miller, St. Lucie County Chairwoman of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly of FL, Laura Roscoe, as well as several members of the St Lucie County Tea Party. Congressman Brian Mast and State Representative Toby Overdorf were unable to attend; however, they were financial underwriters of the event.

Care Net served 3,391 in 2021 and provided 984 free medical services. (Care Net does not provide or refer for abortion services.) 150 moms chose life; 565 received parenting materials and education; 93 received support after abortion, and there were 1,117 interactions with area students.
