Whether it's a crash in the living room at 3am or a stranger in the dark parking lot after work; half of each day is spent at our most vulnerable in darkened environments.

Will you choose to "Train as you'll Fight"?

PRE-REQUISITE: This is a course designed for students with previous training & experience.

Participants should be familiar & competent with aspects of shooting such as safe handling, sight alignment/sight picture, trigger control, drawing from the holster, marksmanship fundamentals, & other basics.

This 8-Hour course will significantly increase the student's ability to competently negotiate both threats & unknowns in darkened environments as well as to effectively utilize both a handheld and a Weapon Mounted Light in the context of defense.

We'll specifically cover the use of these lights in the contexts of deterring threats, identifying threats, conducting searches, maintaining accuracy standards, & performing manipulations in scotopic (Low Light) environments.

Students who successfully complete this class will receive a Certificate summarizing the curriculum & detailing their competency.

Equipment Needed:
• Pistol (9mm or greater)
• 500 rounds
• 3 or more magazines
• Handheld light w/ tailcap switch
• Optional Weapon Mounted Light
• 300 Lumen minimum for both. 500-1500 & single output is preferable.
• Mag Carrier
• Good Belt
• Quality Holster Quality Holster (Kydex preferred, Universal Nylon & Serpa Holsters are NOT allowed in our classes.)
• Eye pro (clear only)
• Ear pro (electronic preferred)
• Water
• 2 Cyalume style ‘glow sticks’
• Headlamps are optional but recommended. No lumen minimum.

Join us for the 27th Annual Run for the Pineapple 5K on the scenic Sewall's Point course. Great post-race refreshments. Chip timing, tech running shirt and finisher medal for all participants who register before April 30! Race entries capped at 500 runners. Note that the race fee increases to $40 for all registration categories on race day (May 29). Shirt size guaranteed for early registration (April 30). Shirts for registrations after April 30 subject to availability.

Race starts at 7:00 am. There is no time limit for finishing; walkers welcome. Bib and Packet pickup will be at Fleet Feet Stuart, Saturday, May 26th, from 10 am to 2 pm, or starting at 6 am on race day. See our website for further details. All entry fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. Race will be held rain or shine except in the event of severe weather.
