Tis the season to learn new technology skill as the St. Lucie County’s Library System’s Technology Training Sessions offer free digital assistance at three different branches throughout December. In addition to the scheduled classes, all six branch libraries offer one-on-one technology help by appointment.

Scheduled classes for December include:
• Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 3:30 p.m.: Apple Basics at the Kilmer Branch. Learn about the basic features and functions of your Apple device.
• Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m.: Android Basics at the Kilmer Branch. Learn about the basic features and functions of your Android device.
• Friday, Dec. 6 at 9 a.m.: Technology Gift Guide at the Lakewood Park Branch. With the gift-giving season right around the corner, we’ll discuss which device is right for you and how to navigate the sales on various electronic devices available.
• Friday, Dec. 6 & Dec. 13 at 2:30 p.m.: Technology Gift Guide at the Morningside Branch. Check out the latest technology on everyone’s gift list and learn how to make the best decisions when buying for yourself or someone else.
• Saturday, Dec. 7 at 2:30 p.m.: Best e-Readers for 2019 at the Morningside Branch. Is a new e-Reader on your holiday list? Join us as we compare the top e-Readers on the market this holiday season and learn how the library can save you money on apps.
• Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 3:30 p.m.: Apple: Building on the Basics at the Kilmer Branch. Now that you’ve mastered the basics on your Apple device, it’s time to take it to the next level. We will be looking at closing apps, connecting to Bluetooth, updating your device and more. Attendance of an Apple Basics class is recommended.
• Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m.: Android: Building on the Basics at the Kilmer Branch. Now that you’ve mastered the basics on your Android device it’s time to take it to the next level! We will be looking at closing apps, connecting to Bluetooth, updating your device and more. Attendance of an Android Basics class is recommended.
• Friday, Dec. 13 at 9 a.m.: Online Selling (Advanced) at the Lakewood Park Branch. In this class, we will be discussing forms of online local selling, like Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Offer Up, Let Go and more.
• Friday, Dec. 20 at 9 a.m.: Social Media (Advanced) at the Lakewood Park Branch. Learn about social media sites such as Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter. We’ll discuss how they work and how they might benefit you.
• Friday, Dec. 20 at 2:30 p.m.: Google Docs at the Morningside Branch. We’ll show you this online word processor that lets you create, format and share documents and work with other people on them.
• Friday, Dec. 27 at 9 a.m.: Android Basics at the Lakewood Park Branch. Learn about the basic features and functions of your Android device.
• Saturday, Dec. 28 at 2:30 p.m. Guide to Digital Organizers & Calendars at the Morningside Branch. Is your resolution to get organized? This program can help you meet that goal. In this class we will discuss the apps available that can help you keep your life in order.
