The Hobe Sound Nature Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting an environmental awareness in people of all ages. A variety of natural history programming is offered year round to individuals, families, schools and organizations. The Nature Center features an exhibit hall with over twenty live native Florida animals, including alligators, snakes, fish, and raptors. Located at the Hobe Sound NWR there are also nature trails to explore some of Florida unique and rare ecosystems. The stairs located through the parking lot allows for direct access to the Indian River Lagoon to fish, sun bath or launch your paddle board at this secret gem of the Treasure Coast.
