Fall Festivals & Halloween
Join the Smithsonian Marine Station staff for a spook-tacular good time on Wednesday Oct. 31 from 6 – 8 pm. The St. Lucie County Aquarium and Regional History Center invite families to visit after-hours for a fab-boo-lous Halloween event.
All ages will get an opportunity to explore the Aquarium in the dark while using special flashlights, explore mystery critters and play spooky games. Then, make your way through the spooky forest of Museum Pointe Park and pick up some trick-or-treat goodies and finish the night at the History Center's haunted house. Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their favorite costume for this family-friendly event. Tickets are $7 for adults, $4 for children.
The program begins at the St. Lucie County Aquarium, 420 Seaway Drive on South Hutchinson Island. For details call 772-462-3474 or email us at SMSEducation@si.edu.
The Smithsonian Exhibit is located in the St. Lucie County Aquarium, 420 Seaway Drive, on South Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce. The Smithsonian Marine Station teamed with St. Lucie County and other community partners to open this unique educational facility in 2001. The Smithsonian Exhibit is an outreach effort of the Smithsonian Marine Station, a branch of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. A fixture in the Fort Pierce community for more than 40 years, the Marine Station is dedicated to understanding the character and diversity of the marine and estuarine habitats of Florida.
