About Community School Youth Orchestra

Community Music School of Tradition Youth Orchestras, Inc. a Conservatory School for Orchestra & Center for Suzuki String Education is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization offering affordable instruction in string instruments: violin, viola, cello, and bass.

Our school is an El Sistema inspired school and our string instruction is second to none. The instructors at Community Music School of Tradition Youth Orchestras, Inc., offer courses and instruction for a variety of performance levels. 

We are looking for students ages 4-18 who are seeking a lifelong avocation or vocation in music. As a conservatory string orchestra school, we offer recitals, concerts, and master classes for youth and teens

Our Founder

Dr. Diane Hope Float is an inspirational educator. She is the Founder of Community Music School of Tradition Youth Orchestra, Inc. She guided this amazing string school to non-profit status in December 2015. Allowing all youth to play string instruments and perform professionally in an orchestra sharing their dreams, passions, and gifts with others. Dr. Float retired and passed the baton to an astonishing genius Virtuoso Classical Violinist Gareth Johnson.

Our Mission

Community Music School of Tradition Youth Orchestras, Inc., is dedicated to helping all youth in our local and global community who desire to learn to play a string instrument and perform in a professional orchestra, regardless of their financial and economic background. Scholarships are available for social economic youth.
